We all know the need to drink water every day, simply because our body asks for, sending the signal of thirst to the brain when water levels demand it, but science tells us more details of the benefits and consequences of daily water consumption.

The body of a person in adult age is composed of approximately 70% water. Because of this simple fact, is essential to maintain the correct levels of daily water intake for the proper functioning of the body and brain. A human can survive around one month without food, but just about a week without water, so it is absolutely vital to live.

The general recommendation is to drink 8 glasses of water a day, but this can vary depending on physical activity, ambient temperature and other specific needs for each person depending on their overall physical activity, health and weight.
